We are helping the Dayton Art Institute with a digital presence that extends the physical museum space. Their new website features highlights from their collection of over 27,000 objects, special exhibitions, and engaging community programs, all while helping patrons plan a visit and learn about DAI’s impact in the community. But the site doesn’t simply present information passively - it also guides visitors to take action so DAI can exist for centuries to come.

Modernizing Museums

A deliberate information strategy paired with user journey mapping helped shaped the navigation around real-world behavior. Visitors can intuitively explore everything the museum offers, from 5,000 years of collection highlights to special exhibitions of uncommon works.

On the backend, our Lucy CMS enables the marketing team to sustain daily website updates while keeping their existing tech stack through seamless integrations with third-party systems, including their collections management platform.

But the site doesn’t just enable patrons to experience the museum digitally. It also encourages in-person visitation through a robust events system complete with custom filters and smooth registrations flows.
