Abandoned

FORM's community-driven, GPS-based iPhone app, "Abandoned", enables users to explore modern day ruins from empty mental asylums and submerged cities to forgotten hotels and ghost towns. GPS mapping automatically locates nearby abandoned places. Users can share comments and reviews about each location, and upload their own locations with descriptions and photos. The app can also be used to store a private log of locations.

FORM's MOCA website design allows the museum’s exhibition works to rise to the forefront; all primary navigation collapses to an omnipresent “Menu” button, but intuitively expands so that users can quickly navigate to any area of the site with a single click. Hello, Tomorrow

Paying homage to classic sci-fi films, Hello Tomorrow is an atmospheric web-based game that takes place somewhere near Area 51. As a government operative stranded amid a B-Movie landscape, the player must defeat a fleet of retro-style flying saucers through clouds of unexplained smoke and decidedly low-fi sound effects.

The game tracks players' high scores to encourage web-based competition. True to its 1950's roots, the family-friendly game engine automatically eliminates profane user names from the score board.

The Cleveland International Film Festival is presented every spring and is Ohio’s premier film event featuring over 280 films originating from close to 60 countries. This year's event runs from March 24 - April 4, 2011 at Tower City Cinemas in downtown Cleveland. The app allows users to easily search films by Title, Category, Program, or Day. Film details, images, trailers, and up-to-the-minute screening information are available in real-time along with theater contact information and maps.

They asked FORM to design a web presence and identity collateral that could capture the high-end, personal nature of their services. FORM used an earthy palette, classic typography and dramatically cropped photography to create an immersive website evokative of epic adventure and intimate, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The identity collateral incorporated non-traditional materials such as twine, copper gromets and hand-sewn muslin slips. The print work was honored in the 2009 AIGA Cleveland Design Competition.

FORM worked with agency Marcus Thomas to create this fun, interactive trade show application for the Kelly Tires' new Fierce product line. The application allowed tire dealers to "trade places" with the brand's young target audience by snapping a photo of themselves, and then superimposing it onto interchangeable bodies with trendy hairstyles, clothing and drag-n-drop accessories. The end result was a silly, self-deprecating photo souvenir.

FORM's solution was to employ bold visual design and engaging photography to help draw users into CPA's portfolio of projects, and a custom content management system enables CPA's staff to easily maintain the site - from portfolio and interative map, to news updates and sponsor logos. To encourage tourism, FORM redesigned the site architecture to emphasize the near proximity of points of interest, and encourage cross-polination of related events and locations. The "Visit Wizard" creates an automatic itinerary based on the user's interests.
