Cleveland International Film Festival

FORM designed a new online presence for the prestigious Cleveland International Film Festival. The clean visuals were designed to allow easy updating as the Festival campaign and color palette change from year to year. The functionality of the site allows users to purchase tickets online, and search or browse current festival schedules and over 30 years of festival archives. FORM also created a CMS allowing the CIFF to update their own website content including the festival schedule, sponsors, calls-to-action and blog.

FORM designed and produced an app for the 35th Cleveland International Film Festival. The Cleveland International Film Festival is presented every spring and is Ohio’s premier film event featuring over 280 films originating from close to 60 countries. This year's event runs from March 24 - April 4, 2011 at Tower City Cinemas in downtown Cleveland. The app allows users to easily search films by Title, Category, Program, or Day. Film details, images, trailers, and up-to-the-minute screening information are available in real-time along with theater contact information and maps.

Offering exotic and profound travel experiences, Discover Africa's personalized safaris are among the most unique in the world. They asked FORM to design a web presence and identity collateral that could capture the high-end, personal nature of their services. FORM used an earthy palette, classic typography and dramatically cropped photography to create an immersive website evokative of epic adventure and intimate, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The identity collateral incorporated non-traditional materials such as twine, copper gromets and hand-sewn muslin slips. The print work was honored in the 2009 AIGA Cleveland Design Competition.

The Human Fund

The Human Fund supports arts programs for under-served youth in Cleveland. The fund's founder asked FORM to help launch the new charity with an identity and overall brand that would express the non-traditional, upbeat attitude of the organization. Cleveland Public Art has improved public spaces through art and design since 1984. Its projects can be seen throughout Cleveland, from the most visible public spaces to the most disadvantaged communities. CPA asked FORM to create a new website that would help convey its mission and raise awareness of the projects it facilitates. FORM's solution was to employ bold visual design and engaging photography to help draw users into CPA's portfolio of projects, and a custom content management system enables CPA's staff to easily maintain the site - from portfolio and interative map, to news updates and sponsor logos. An online donation system enables CPA to accept online credit card contributions.

American Greetings Interactive division asked FORM to design a web presence that would appeal to its technology savvy partners and vendors while still conveying the warm, personal and genuine tone of the AG's “social expressions” mission. Lionsgate Films asked FORM to develop this iPhone app to help promote the DVD release of their horror film, My Bloody Valentine 3D. In the film, a madman with a pick axe is on the loose and an ultra-3D gorefest ensues. Our app puts you in the blood-soaked shoes of the madman: snap a photo of a friend, then swing your phone like a pick axe to incur some serious virtual damage to your pal's pic. Think this is gross? FORM's community-driven, GPS-based iPhone app, "Abandoned", enables users to explore modern day ruins from empty mental asylums and submerged cities to forgotten hotels and ghost towns. GPS mapping automatically locates nearby abandoned places. Users can share comments and reviews about each location, and upload their own locations with descriptions and photos. The app can also be used to store a private log of locations.

Hello, Tomorrow

Paying homage to classic sci-fi films, Hello Tomorrow is an atmospheric web-based game that takes place somewhere near Area 51. As a government operative stranded amid a B-Movie landscape, the player must defeat a fleet of retro-style flying saucers through clouds of unexplained smoke and decidedly low-fi sound effects.

The game tracks players' high scores to encourage web-based competition. True to its 1950's roots, the family-friendly game engine automatically eliminates profane user names from the score board.

The fine folks at Paladar Latin Kitchen asked FORM to create a unique web presence that would capture the authenticity and fun atmosphere of their Annapolis and Cleveland restaurants. Be Fierce

FORM worked with agency Marcus Thomas to create this fun, interactive trade show application for the Kelly Tires' new Fierce product line. The application allowed tire dealers to "trade places" with the brand's young target audience by snapping a photo of themselves, and then superimposing it onto interchangeable bodies with trendy hairstyles, clothing and drag-n-drop accessories. The end result was a silly, self-deprecating photo souvenir.

FORM worked with a group of dedicated dog rescuers to design and develop Doggy Heaven, a website where pet owners can create free memorials with photos and stories in tribute to their departed canine companions. The "Visit Wizard" creates an automatic itinerary based on the user's interests.
