This scratch board illustration accompanied Patrons, a short story written by Joe Murray for a PBS children's program.
Some took offense like brooding hens, and turned their backs to imagine it gone. This went on for an entire afternoon and well into the twilight. Some people stared at it for so long, they forgot to look up, and the ravens build nests in their hair.
It's a diamond.
It's a dandelion.
It's a hurricane.
It's a dream -
They all said it was something else. And they were right.
